Honorable mention: Goons (1-0) vs +forward (1-1)

Group A: Awakening v Bricked Up – Wednesday 10est* tentative

GOTN TWITCH

After beating Group A’s number 2 seed in last weeks Match of the Week, and taking their spot in the power rankings, the schedule makers have given #3 Awakening (2-0), #1 Bricked Up (2-0) in week two on Toujane. This one will be a must watch.

I have no doubt in my teams potential to win this upcoming match. Doug’s been a little mouthy lately and I’m looking forward to shutting that yapper of his.neoo

The team is feeling good. We look forward to playing awakening because they are strong and it should be a good game. – dirty_german

Writer Prediction: Bricked Up > Awakening 13-10

Community Predictions:

Awakening > Bricked Up 13-11Bricked Up loses to Awakening – dougs out and awake can pug this one to victory. Bricked up cant NA smoke too hard on touj which is their only known strat – eric

Bricked Up > Awakening 13-10This matchup promises to be a tight contest. Awakening has been bringing the heat, with their shooters even pulling off an upset against +Forward last week on Dawnville. It’s shaping up to be a hell of a fight, but with Toujane being a frag-heavy map, Awakening will need to bring their A-game to topple a powerhouse like Bricked Up on this terrain. All eyes should be on Nilla and Neo—those two could absolutely pop off and swing the odds for a potential upset. – trauma

Bricked up > Awakening 13-8I think Mylo is the big difference maker on allied, not allowing awakening to flank effectly, and while set nades and strats are still important, touj leans more towards a gun fight dependant map, and I think bricked has the edge skill wise across the board everestt

Bricked up > Awakening 13-10 Toujane is a shooters map and there are some shooters. Nilla vs myLo should be a fantastic scope battle. Both teams have heavy nades and can push pace at multiple speeds (A rushes I think will be the Allied key if one team can find sustained success with them). Going with the “favorites” in B^ 13-10. – heroLP

Group B: Janitorz v Unknown Players – Tuesday 10:30est

GOTN TWITCH

#5 Janitorz (2-0) take on #6 Unknown Players (2-0) in a match that could have serious seeding implacations for this group. Both teams coming off significant off season roster changes have started the season perfect, but this one will surely test both teams.

We’re feeling good, we’re still shaking the cobwebs off from Blake losing power for a week and Jay in Vegas. We went into dawnville without practice and luckily scraped out W’s. We’re looking forward to touj and feeling good about the matchups and vibes – harry

We like our chances against the new Janitorz roster and know we stack up well against them. With league, every team has the opportunity to deep dive maps each week and change things up. I think you will see a little shift in strats from everyone. We won’t be any different here and we plan on extending our record to 4-0. – caseman

Writer Prediction: Janitorz 13-11 Unknown Players aka nova gaming

Community Predictions:

Janitorz > UP 13-8 – Janitorz clears. They get the first big name win they were looking for. Ethix had a big presence on touj and losing him will hurt this game – eric

Janitorz > UP (OT) – Both UP and J were considered top 3 teams before lan, both had disappointing performances there, and both have gone through a bit of a rebuild after dropped to top 5ish teams Both are known to get tilted mid game, both have top 5 scopes in NA. The parallels are actually insane, so it’ll be super interesting to see which of the 2 will bounce back and claw their way to top in NA again, or which will plateau kevlar

UP > Janitorz 13-8This one’s a weird fucking toss-up that could go either direction. Janitorz have been looking shaky lately, though they’ve still got the raw potential to pull out a win, having recently swapped Gl4d in for Zyk. Meanwhile, UP’s in a bizarre spot too, having lost Ethix at the eleventh hour and plugging in Nova as a last-minute sub. Despite Toujane’s reputation as a fast-paced, frag-heavy map, I’m betting this match turns into a goddamn snoozer, with UP barely leaving spawn but still managing to edge out Janitorz for the victory. Keep a close watch on sixxer, nightmare, and trump—if UP’s taking this. Happy FCS! trauma

Janitorz > UP 13-10 I think out of the two this one will be closer, but while all of ups players are solid, unless sixxer pops off, I think janitorz takes this. Hostage will be in his 2nd week back after a month of being a manwhore, so the dominant masculinity will cause him to frag, and Bob sled will have just gotten back from Vegas and probably having lost his virginity, so he will get the same testosterone boost – everestt

Janitorz > UP 13-11 It’s all about Nova lately but he gave UP a spark the first week and I think gl4d takes that role for J this week. Look for 87 no scope shots from s1xxer and nytrix getting at one least 1v4 clutch. Another set of great aim play but Janitors pulls a 13-11 nailbiter in the end – heroLP
