The Janitorz have made another big roster move, adding one of the biggest free agent names just days before the start of GOTN Season 1. There’s no doubt that this move bolsters an already impressive roster. Gl4d, formerly of High Noon, will be the fourth canadian on the roster. The move sees zyk step down as he focuses on IRL activities. I sat down with Gl4d to discuss.

Q: Obviously we’ve seen the news that you’ve signed with the Janitorz. Can you tell us about how that came about?

A: It came about pretty slowly, I play apex with Harold pretty frequently and he knew I was getting ready to join a team which I wasnt sure which as it was between a few. He let me know to hold off on joining a team as zyk has a new gf and other real life joys he plans on partaking in and told them yesterday he is going to step down so I stepped in.

Q: I understand that there were a few potential offers for your services over the last month or so. Can you tell us about some of those and why you ended up with Janitorz?

A: Yes there was quite a few teams that wanted my services. I wont name some unfortunately, as that means they were getting ready to cut one of their players. I chose janitorz as I have played games with them quite and got pretty close to blake at the lan and after as well as woody who unfortunately isnt on the team anymore. I like them and see the potential.

Q: You’re coming off a long stint, and at times a very successful one with High Noon. Can you reflect a bit on your time with the team?

A: Yes high noon was fun. I played with tipzy and verb for a while. We brought on this nilla guy, who was a mute inititially, but we changed that. And tripel who was a character lol. We had some ups and some downs which unfortunately carried over to the lan but I love those guys and I know they are going to do very well this season.

Q: What do you think you can bring to the team? What will your role be?

I think I bring a fresh face more than anything as zyk is a great player. Sometimes a little shuffle can be good. I will mostly 44 as that is my go to give them a little bit of a faster pace.

Q: Have you guys talked at all about expectations? What are yours for the season?

A: We havent really spoken about expectations, but it’s kind of understood that we are expecting top of the group. Anything less is a failure.
