Stroking The Snake

Stroking The Snake

Coming off a stellar GOTN Season 1, Broa was a hot commodity & wanted man going into LAN2. He ultimately went with the Nemesis squad, and together they marched to a 5th/6th place finish in Columbus. The versatile constrictor can be seen in many forms, and is known to play every weapon. The man of many gifs, and patented flip flops sat down with us to discuss LAN and the Season 2.

SOMEONE CLEARLY WASN’T A FAN

You were a wanted man in pre-lan free agency, and were linked with a few rosters. Ultimately, Nemesis was chosen. What was it about the group that drew you to them?

I chose to go to Nemesis largely because Lewis (Reflex). Teaming up with him was the goal. There were talks of forming something but ultimately we landed on Nemesis. A strong showing in the season, with a great core, needing two spots filled. Berry “Nade King/ Plant King/ Berald” is a great shotty, ZYK “YAMATO/ Heto’s cousin” has the brain and the scope, and Everestt/ Brother Billy was fragging. Was a no brainer on paper.

Nemesis came into LAN hot and cold. Coming off a solid season, it seemed that the post-season results were a bit rockier, despite the talented 5. What were expectations going into LAN?

Going into lan the team was optimistic but I think we still kept expectations low due to the hot & cold play. Lewis had a daily planner full of goals and songs to sing out loud, which is why he had the monster showing that he did.

LAN didn’t start off how you’d have liked it probably, but ultimately the road brought you to what was probably an “Expected” result. How would you assess the LAN performance overall?

LAN performance by the team was great. The boys showed up and had their moments of greatness. Individually, I feel I was probably the weak link on the team. Definitely underperformed, it is what it is.

Obviously now Nemesis has parted ways, but you’re still left with the memories. Was there any chance of running it back, or was it decided that the group was done post LAN?

For me, LAN solidified that I would not be returning to the Nemesis line up. The team has great individuals and the LAN experience was a blast but the experiment ran its course. I lost the enjoyment playing the game and burnout had me thinking I would take a longer break from the game. Being the cod2 fiend that I am I just couldn’t stay away.

Now you turn a new chapter, reuniting with old teammates LOOSE and abk. What can we expect from the strokers?

The Strokers will come out stroking. The boys are excited and working hard. The community as a whole has leveled up, with that being said treating Strokers as jokers will lead to an upset. Loose and Coach Stroker (Doug) are shaping the team up nicely.

LOOSE mentioned he was going to set you loose (heh). Can we expect you to touch all the weapons this season?

Oh god I hope so.

With plenty of matches coming soon in Season 2, are there any team that you & the strokers are looking forward to playing the most?

Can’t speak for the team but as an individual, I always enjoy games with the gooners and getting slapped around by the bricked up boys. Shit talking their scopes gives me a solid chub and it’s all in good fun. The revamped UP team is also looking interesting, any chance to mess with Tipzy is a win.

Can you hit us with a farewell meme?
