Week 6 Recap

Week 6 in group B was the week of upsets, almost upsets, and method.

The results this week set up a very interesting clash in the last week (plus makeup games) for the 3-5 seeds in the group, as Old School will take on Unknown Players on matmata. Nemesis, currently in the 3 seed, also have Old School & UP to play, meaning that everything is still to play for.

On the other side in Group A, the fourth seed was all but wrapped up by Goons. It would take a monumental feat/collapse for them to lose that seed at this point. Both of the matches of the week let us down for a second straight week, as neither were played. It looks like a the top 3 will have to be decided in the final week, as all 3 still have to play each other. Backed by another vintage performance by shell, plus forward currently sit atop group A on round differential, as they continue their great season and current form.

Performance of the week: Method

Okay well, this wasn’t really a tough one. The man absolutely popped off on Burgundy this week playing the lurk role. As if 35 agaisnt Janitorz wasnt enough, he dropped another 28 in a victory over nephilim. A mind-boggling 63 frags this week including a few awesome clutches. Despite the effort, Janitorz were able to remain unbeaten going into week 7.

Nemesis stayed hot with a statement victory over x6 on Burgundy. The match started close, 3-3 with Nemesis on allies, before they took the second half of the half clean. Going into halftime 9-3, x6 had work to do. Ultiimately, Nemesis prevailed and improve to 7-4 on the season. After a slow start, Nemesis have absolutley exploded, and sit alone in the 3 spot over in Group B. In some of the other results, x6 took down fAMILY 13-5, UP took down Nephilim 13-8, and Goons took down BAMF 13-2.
