Roll The Dice Announce LAN Roster
Roll The Dice: adeptz, brutaL, timmer, phreak, warboy, + method (online)
Roll The Dice have brought their chips to the table. Following their first cup appearance as a team on Sunday, the team has announced their interest in attending LAN 2 in Columbus.
The LAN roster includes two starters from team Old School that competed in GOTN S1, adeptz and brutaL, teaming up with two ex-farmers timmer and phreak. The roster is rounded out by newcomer Warboy, who will look to use these next 3 months to get up to speed and evolve into his next phase, warman. Method, another standout from Old School’s roster, will serve as the teams online 6th as the boys look to get in as many reps as possible. adeptz and brutaL have already logged tons of hours together across multiple games. The same goes for timmer and phreak, who played together on farmers for what feels like a decade. If the team can mesh like they are hoping, they can be a true dark horse threat at the tournament.
It’s still the beginning so we’re just focusing on getting used to each other and playing together learning what people like to do and things like that, our expectations are to hopefully make it out of groups, winning the lan will be hard to do with the more experienced teams that have been together since last lan or even longer than that so it’ll be a steep battle to get that far but you never know we seen upsets at the last LAN, but as of right now our goal is to get better as a squad and get all the annoying nuances out the way early so we can focus on figuring out the right strats moving forward that makes everyone comfortable and confident. – adeptz
Warboy will come in and join this heavily experienced roster of long time gamers. While he may be new to cod2, he’s already shown glimpses of his skill and brains despite very few hours. Warboy’s background and experience come from vcod, which he hopes will translate here in the coming months.
I had probably close to 3k hours on vcod. I was in high school at the time, and went to a buddies house who had vcod installed on his family pc. He let me play it and the first time I fired that garand and got a kill I was immediately hooked. Later, my brother built me a pc and played on that until it couldn’t run cod4. Def remember being at GameStop at midnight release for cod2. Played it for a while but went back to vcod. I had a vivid dream about playing vcod after 20 something years so I installed it and found that it was dead minus a few modded to hell servers and there wasn’t an active comp community which is why I searched on Reddit for cod2 and found the GOTN discord. – warboy
