Group A has officially come down to two races. The top three are fighting for the top 3 places, with everyone at 8-1. Two of the last 3 remaining matches between the 3 teams will take place next week. Awakening will take on +forward on Carentan, and Bricked will play Awakening on Burgundy with everything still to play for. Bricked took down BAMF 13-2, Awakening took down BAMF 13-4, and +forward took down Goons 13-6 this week.

The second race will take place between the three teams at the middle for places 4-6. While ggg sit at 4-5, they’ll be fighting for the 4 seed over the next two weeks with goons (4-5) and the rebranded lockdown (3-5). Next week, lockdown will play both of these teams, in a week that should give us some clarity on the outcome of the group.

We feel pretty confident. We’re not going to be looking past anybody as that can get you in trouble and we have seen that before. We just need to play our game play to our skill sets and take care of business and we should be fine. – tripel

We are feeling confident and having fun with it, we can’t take ourselves to seriously because the lack of preparation is the only thing comedic about any of it. We are hopeful and optimistic we can make a solid run of things with the players we have! – forsaken

Performance of the Week (Group A): take this inch

Okay, it’s getting harder to ignore the ggg boys. After rebrand number 4 in the last 2 months, the boys are starting to make a little bit of noise. Described publicly as their new “A lineup” the boys have quietly began putting some results together, including last weeks win over goons. It’s been a tale of two teams for ggg. They have 4 victories, but in their 5 losses they’ve only grabbed a total of 14 rounds. They’ll need the “A” team performances to finish out the season. When asked about their hopes in closing out the season; mr inches had this to say;

honestly it all depends on who we have available for our matches. our top GOONER brett just got engaged to a woman (insane) but if he is able to make it we have a good shot at GIVING THEM THE INCHES in the majority of our remaining matches.
