Week Two Recap – Group B
Group B started out with an absolute banger, with the erratic and unpredictable Old School squad taking down Wizards. In what’s been a wild start to the season for the international group, their matches seem to take the opposite scoreline of what’s to be expected. The team has now taken down a few big names, while also losing to some newcomers. Expect the unexpected with this team.
In even more shocking news, it seemed that that match was the demise of Wizards, marking the first death of the season. With Brisk moving to +forward, tox moving to Awakening, and trauma stepping away, the team appears to be done. The team started the season 0-3 with three close losses, 13-11, 13-10 and now 13-9. It’s a shame for the talented roster, who had just placed top 3 in the cup a week before the season started. We’ll see if the players who have moved on to new positions decide to get back together for LAN.
We scrimmed a lot so I felt like we were prepared quite well. I was a bit surprised how everything workout and went well for us. Wizards played exactly the style I play well against, so I dropped 22. It’s a pity we killed that team, maybe we can get a new team in our group? – Jocco

Nephilim got themselves on the board against Nemesis, picking up their first win. There is now pandemonium in the middle of the pack, as 4 teams sit tied together with 1 win a piece, all taking maps from each other. All these matchups within this field of teams will be key for the standings in the coming weeks to see if any one of them can pull away. Selfishly, we hope the awesome race continues. In the other scores, x6 took down +vibe, who played a hell of a match 13-11, and Nemesis 13-3. UP vs Nephilim is rescheduled to next week.
The team is elated, we’re on the board. We picked up Kurupt to round out our roster and we are feeling good about next week as well. About to jump in a scrim with Janitorz and see what the good teams are doing and learn some more. – stiff

Performance of the Week (Group B): harry

After a solid performance in the MOTW grabbing 16 frags, harry absolutely took it up a notch on Thursday, playing a phenomenal Toujane as Janitorz moved to 4-0, taking down Old School. Harry was everywhere, with several multikill rounds (and 3 plants!). One of Cod2’s newest shotguns looks to continue the form he’s in as the cleaning crew take on +vibe, and (maybe) some form of wizards on Vallente next week. Check out this VIDEO zyk made of the performance.
It was a great week. Was finally able to get all players on, go over the MOTW, then put it into practice. We’re all experienced so not too much stratting needed, moreso touching base on how we can help each other in certain scenarios. We’re firing on all cylinders right now. The team dynamic right now is giving us a lot of confidence, which is something we were struggling to have after LAN. Pieces are falling into place and I’m feeling more and more confident with shotty. – harry
Our team agreed that by the end of the next week we are either going to be at 4 wins or 3 wins. We felt quite hopeful on Janitorz, but unfortunately we did not find a recipe against them, we played quite scared and without any confidence. For the upcoming games we have to be more confident for sure.
We feel like we should win against Nephilim and Nemesis as we beat them on scrims, but next week is Vallente so one does never know! – jocco
Match of the Week (Group B): Janitorz 13-4 UP

Janitorz put a big stamp on the group Tuesday night, playing a nearly flawless game to take down UP, 13-4. The matchup between the two undefeated teams coming into the match unexpectedly ended up being quite one sided. Janitorz started out well on Axis and never lost control of the momentum, not really giving UP any chance to get into a rhythm and string together multiple rounds. Going into the half 8-4, Janitorz put together an impressive attack, winning out to seal the victory. Nytrix was all over the place, taking over and shutting most of the UP team down with several 3k+ rounds.
We went into UP determined to leave with a decisive W. We did just that. Then we went into oS match with a chip on our shoulders since they toppled us in the latest night cup. We played our game, played it sound, and played it confident. I think it showed. – harry
