Week 4 Power Rankings
1. Bricked Up 6-0 (No Change)
Bricked up probably had two slightly closer matches than they would have wanted. Still, they take care of business against Farmers 13-8, and coming back from a 7-5 down half against #6 goons to take them down, 13-9. They look to stay perfect next week in a blockbuster matchup against #4 +forward.
2. Check Six 5-0 (No Change)
x6 put together an dominant performance against an UP team that came into the season with high hopes. We’ll see how much that means, as they take on powerhouse #5 Janitorz in this weeks Group B MOTW, followed by Old School on Breakout. Willzki is this teams x-factor.
3. Awakening 5-1 (No Change)
Awakening have impressed all season, but they came close to what would have been considered a moderate upset on Wednesday. The team narrowly defeated goons 13-10, but they’ll look to continue their winning ways against team Pedro & #9 Farmers.
4. Plus Forward 5-1 (No Change)
Plus forward took care of business this week, but they also did it in style. Losing 5 total rounds to #9 Farmers and team Pedro last week, they made it look easy. They’ll take on winless BAMF, as well as #1 Bricked Up in what will be a season-defining game for the team. Zack & Shell are quietly having elite seasons statistically.
5. Janitorz 5-0 (No Change)
Janitorz unsurprisingly remain unbeaten. They haven’t even come close to being tested yet, and it’s clear that the moppers are playing well and getting better every match. It seems that each week it has been a new member shouldering the load, a true team effort. It’s definitely a disservice to have this team at #5, given how close teams 3-5 are in COD2 BETA ELO (coming soon). Janitorz debatably have the most to prove with their new lineup, as they take on #2 x6 in this weeks Group B MOTW.
6. Goons 3-3 (Last Week: 7)
It’s not often you lose both of your league matches, and get to move up a spot. A little bit of that has to do with the implosion of the team behind, but nonetheless the group deserve to move up a spot. In a game that could have easily went their way, goons lost to surging #3 Awakening 13-10 in a game of some insane clutches. They took a lead into the second half against #1 Bricked Up, but just could not hold on in the end, dropping that one 13-9. Zexi is insanely underrated and has been having a breakthrough season.
7. Unknown Players 3-3 (Last Week: 6)
UP had a week from hell on Vallente and it’s no secret that the team is in a bit of a rut. We know and love them for wearing their hearts on their sleeves, but it’s clear that they aren’t firing on all cylinders at the moment. After a big defeat to x6, the team suffered a tough loss to #8 Nemesis, 13-9. They will really need the beat to go off? on Breakout, as they take on Old School & #10+vibe.
8. Nemesis 3-3 (Last Week: -)
Nemesis come out of absolutely nowhere to sit in 3rd place in Group B. In what may have been a season-defining week for the team, they look to stay hot against #10 +vibe next week.
9. Farmers 2-4 (Last Week: 8)
Farmers couldn’t get going against the groups top two seeds coming into the season. They look forward to BAMF and #3 Awakening on Breakout.
10. +vibe 1-3 (Last Week: 9)
+vibe hold on to the last spot. They have by far what is going to be the most important week of the season for them, as they play #7 Unknown Players, #8 Nemesis, and a make up match with Nephilim. Much of their hopes will rely on the play of underrated star broa.
