Week 4 Matches of the Week

With the season now in full swing, week four promises to deliver some of the biggest matches of the season. We’ve already had numerous triumphs, hearbreaks, and even a handful of upsets so far. Look for the action this week to be no different as some of the powerhouses face off against each other. We confirmed with production that both of these matches will be casted (click GOTN Twitch link below).

Group A: #1 Bricked Up vs #4 Plus Forward Thursday 10EST

GOTN TWITCH

These two came into the season as the top two seeds in this group. While +forward fell once to awakening, it ended up as close of a game as you could possible get (althought at the same time it was one round away from a 13-0). The team has rebounded since, and they can make a statement this week against Bricked Up. Neither lineup will be at 100% this week with key players out on each side, but still look for this one to be a banger.

Writer Prediction: Bricked up > +forward 13-9

They’re lucky we’re playing breakout. (loljk) Hopefully it’s a fun map for both teams. (Map is awful!) We’ve added some more baldness to the roster this season. – kosmo

We don’t give a fuck about seeding. We don’t fuck a fuck about +f. We don’t give a fuck about some random week 4 league matchup with them. We’ve decimated every team in this community multiple times. +f included (LOL remember the LAN?!). Not sure if you can tell, but we’re feeling pretty good. It doesn’t even matter if we lose this random ass match, when it comes to this league, you’ll have to beat us in the playoffs and probably in a best of 3. We don’t even care if we win, LOL!!!! Doesn’t matter, yawwnnnnn, we’re winning this league no matter what rofl. – doug

Community Predictions:

Bricked > +forward OT+forward vs Bricked is an interesting matchup. Both teams are filled top to bottom with fraggers, but bricked is without daddy Doug. Will they miss daddy-d more than we’ve seen thus far against better competition? Will Panther finally show he’s fit to shotty in-between diaper changes? That all remains to be seen, but I have this one being a tight one, Bricked in OT. – magnum

bricked up > +forward 13-8 bricked up keeps dominating as the top team, dougski has a vintage and dndcombo performance getting 19 frags, dirty_german lands in the middle of the scoreboard after a grenade triggers his ptsd from sitting in an air wing his whole military career, Zack top frags for +forward because it’s an online match, and panther finishes with 11 kills, which is coincidentally how many inches his hairline has receded everestt

Group B: #2 x6 (5-0) vs #5 Janitorz (5-0) – Monday 10EST

GOTN TWITCH

Seemlingly in every group together in recent cup (and now season) history, these two rivals face off once again in Week 4 on Breakout. It’s a matchup that the two top seeded teams in this group have had circled since the schedules dropped. Janitorz and x6 come into this match as two of the last three undefeated teams left in the season, but one must fall. x6 have had the best of the very most recent history, but Janitorz notable took down x6 on Breakout back in February at GGEZ in Plano, TX. This one should be pure entertainment.

Community Predictions:

x6 > janitorz 13 – 9While the mop boiz are firing on all cylinders early on this season, I think x6’s chemistry is too much to overcome right now. They’re the odds on favorites to finish as one of the top two seeds, so I have them taking this one 13-9magnum

janitorz > x6 13-11 Only one undefeated team will be left in group B after this match. I think it’s going to be janitorz getting their revenge from the lan, hostogie pops off with 25+ kills, nytrix never leaves spawn on either side and effectly cuts the map in half, harold dies to no less than 4 nades, no lamb on match night for x6 in this oneeverestt
