Week 5 Power Rankings

Week 4 in the league was one for the books, as the races for playoff seeding really began to heat up. We’re now just over the halfway mark in the season, and while the groups have started to take shape, there is still plenty to play for. I’ve enlisted the help of a few community veterans this week, as the top 5 is insanely close after the shenanigans that took place this week.

SPOILER: not one had the same top 5 rankings which goes to show how close it is.

1. Bricked Up 6-1 (No Change)

Bricked up took a tough loss to #4 +forward this week. The team gets Doug back next week and will look to continue their dominant form over the last few months, despite the small setback. The team has earned too much good grace and performance to not warrant one get out of jail free card.

2. Janitorz 7-0 (Last Week: 5)

Janitorz is back. They were already back on right the trajectory this season after a shaky March, but last week was a huge step up for the team, taking down #3 x6 on breakout. Since LAN in February, the two teams have split maps against each other in official matches 3-3. These two will continue to go at it over the coming months, and it will be pure entertainment. The new roster is now really clicking, and they now control their own destiny in group B. They have #6 Nemesis & #9 UP next week on Carentan.

3. x6 6-1 (Last Week: 2)

x6 suffered their first setback since losing in the finals against #1 Bricked Up in Nightcup 10 finals back in March. #2 Janitorz put in a great performance in Group B’s MOTW over on GOTN. x6 will look to rebound against #8 +vibe, and Nephilim on Carentan.

4. Plus Forward 7-1 (No Change)

Plus forward had an absolutely monumental win this week against #1 Bricked Up. After losing a close one early this season, this roster showed that they are here to stay, and getting consistent play out of whoever they throw in there. This team seemingly has a new roster every week, but they continue to make it work. It’s a scary team to play that can pick off any team, as they have shown in the past. They’ll need it again next week, as they take on #5 Awakening in what might be a battle for the #2 (or even #1) seed in this group.

5. Awakening 7-1 (Last Week: 3)

Once again, one of these teams unfortunately needs to be at 5, and it isn’t fair to them. But after Janitorz and Plus Forward’s huge wins brining this top group so close together, Awakening sit just barely on the end. Blame the data. Awakening continue their hot streak with another 2-0 week taking down Farmers 13-8, and team Casemens 13-9. They’ll have a change to get their spot right back in a heavyweight matchup against #4 +forward next week in what might be a battle for the #2 (or even #1) seed in this group. They’ll need nilla and neoo to continue their strong form.

6. Nemesis 5-3 (Last Week: 8)

Group B has been absolute pandemonium over the last few weeks, and Nemesis have been able to solidify the #3 spot in the group, taking down #8 +vibe in overtime on breakout, as well as #9 UP. The team have now won four straight, and look to keep it going, as they take on #2 Janitorz & Nephilim next week on Carentan.

7. Goons 4-4 (Last Week: 6)

Goons unfortunately lost one they probably should have had in their quest for the 4 seed in group A, losing to team PEDRO/CASEMENS 13-9 on Breakout. Teams 4-6 in group A all pretty much control their own destiny for the last playoff spot. They take on Farmers, and +forward on Carentan next week.

8. +vibe 3-4 (Last Week: 10)

+vibe. The team put together last minute have impressed so far. They had a big week, beating #9 up and Nephilim (makeup from last week). They almost made it the triple, after taking #6 Nemesis to overtime but ultimately losing that one in a nailbiter. Broa is the only player in the entire league averaging over 20 kills per match. The man does it all. He has picked up the scope, the shotgun, and everything in between. The team have the opportunity to continue turning heads as they take on Old School in a massive mattle for seeding in the middle of the group & #3 x6 on Carentan.

9. Unknown Players 3-5 (Last Week: 7)

A four game losing streak is something nobody saw coming for this team. They came in post lan in pretty decent form, and were the unianimous pick for a top 3 finish in their group. It’s still attainable, but something needs to change for this team. It appears that the loss of ethix is greather than we all thought. They NEED to turn it around on Carentan, but it won’t be so easy as they take on a rebuilt fAMILY as well as #2 Janitorz.

10. Old School 3-5 (Last Week: -)

Old School continue their ways, still unpredictable. This week they were able to take down slumping #9 UP. They have their biggest week of the season coming up. They can solidy a playoff push if they can take out #8 +vibe, and fAMILY.
